Billy The Kid Season 2 Episode 4 Recap
Billy is wanted in relation to Episode 3’s William Morton and Frank Baker killings by the Regulators. Murphy wants to arrest McSween for being an accessory to murder and then publicly execute him. In an attempt to keep Billy from becoming involved, a celebration is staged on Main Street to highlight the House’s intentions to arrest McSween as soon as he arrives in Lincoln. But as soon as he does, William Brady is fatally shot by the Regulators.
Even though Tom O’Folliard is critically injured and close to death, the McSweens tend to him after the gunfight. Billy hides under their floorboards with supplies while the others ride off for another firefight at Blazer’s Mill with the Jesse Evans Gang. Billy has a good opportunity to hit Jesse, but he declines, allowing Billy and Charlie Bowdre to escape. Pat Garrett, who went on to kill Billy the Kid in real life, is chosen by Thomas Catron to be the next Sheriff of Lincoln County.
