SSC CHSL 2024 Exam Date: Application Process, Admit Card, Syllabus & Pattern!

As part of its job to hire students with Higher Secondary qualifications for jobs in the Indian government, the Staff Selection Commission holds the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Exam every year at the national level.

Through the SSC CHSL Exam, which lakhs of people apply for every year, the SSC fills thousands of jobs in government departments. The Staff Selection Commission will hold the SSC CHSL (10+2) test this year to fill 3712 open positions as LDC, JSA, and DEO.

Lower Division Clerk, Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant, Sorting Assistant, and Data Entry Operator jobs are all on the SSC CHSL (10+2) test. The SSC will choose people for Assistant/Clerk jobs by giving them a computer-based test, a skill test, or a typing test.

The SSC CHSL test is given in two parts, which are called “Tiers.” It is only possible to register and talk to SSC CHSL officials through their official website. Before they are finally chosen, candidates must pass each step of the SSC CHSL exam in order to move on to the next one.

When the SSC CHSL Notification 2024 comes out, it also lists the dates for the online application process for the SSC CHSL 2024 test. Because the application period will only last one month, you have to apply online between April 8, 2024, and May 7, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. You should go to https://ssc.gov.in/ to register online.

SSC CHSL 2024 Application Fee

• The fee to apply for SSC CHSL 2024 in the General Category is Rs. 100/-.

• Exemption: Women, people from SC or ST groups, people with disabilities, and veterans do not have to pay the fee.

Eligibility Criteria for the SSC CHSL Exam

A person must meet three important requirements in order to be able to take the SSC CHSL 2024 test. Here are the three parameters:

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before the 1st of January 1962 to permanently settle in India or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam to settle in India permanently.

Max Age for SSC CHSL (as of August 1, 2024)

For the SSC CHSL jobs, you must be between the ages of 18 and 27. Candidates who were born between August 2, 1997, and August 1, 2006, can apply. For different groups, the upper age limit can be lowered in the following ways:

SSC CHSL Age Limit (as on 01/08/2024)

For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade “A” (except DEOs who work in the Office or Ministry): Those who want to take the CHSL 2024 exam must have passed the 12th Standard or an equivalent test from a recognized Board or University.

For the job of Data Entry Operator (DEO) or DEO Grade “A” in the Ministries of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, and Culture, you must have passed your 12th grade in the science stream with math as a topic from a recognized board or an equivalent qualification.

Exam Pattern for SSC CHSL 2024

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will begin holding the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) in two levels for a number of different jobs:

SSC CHSL 2024 Syllabus

The tier 1 syllabus for the SSC CHSL 2024 Exam includes 4 subjects, namely General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude (Basic Arithmetic Skill), and English Language (Basic Knowledge). The topics to be included in the tier 1 exam in each subject are as follows-

English Language: Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/ Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/ Detecting mis-spelled words, Idioms and Phrases, One-word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/ Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/ Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.

General Intelligence: It would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types. The test will include questions on Semantic Analogy, Symbolic operations, Symbolic/ Number Analogy, Trends, Figural Analogy, Space Orientation, Semantic Classification, Venn Diagrams, Symbolic/ Number Classification, Drawing inferences, Figural Classification, Punched hole/ pattern folding & unfolding, Semantic Series, Figural Pattern-folding and completion, Number Series, Embedded figures, Figural Series, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, Word Building, Social Intelligence, Coding and de-coding, Other sub-topics, if any Numerical operations.

Quantitative Aptitude: Number Systems, Fundamental arithmetical operations, Algebra, Geometry, Mensuration, Trigonometry, Statistical Charts

General Awareness: Questions are designed to test the candidate‟ ‘s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions are also designed to test knowledge of current events and such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of an educated person.

The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially about History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General policy, and scientific research

SSC CHSL Salary after 7th pay commission

Anyone who applies for the SSC CHSL Exam 2024 by the due date will be given an e-admit card, also known as a hall ticket or call letter, which can be downloaded from the SSC website.

The admit card for the CHSL Tier-1 exam will be released first, then the admit card for the CHSL Tier-2 exam, which will only be given to people who passed the Tier 1 test.
