Last week’s shocking fight between Sukuna and Mahoraga was featured in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2. There has never been such extensive destruction in the series. But Sukuna, who took over Yuji’s body for roughly half an hour, succeeded in destroying the entire Shibuya ward.
The most heartbreaking aspect is when Yuji breaks down and starts blaming himself for self-harm. It’s more sorrow than a fifteen-year-old juvenile can manage. But Yuji’s troubles are not over yet; he will only sink deeper and deeper into hopelessness.
The most heartbreaking scene in the anime to date will occur in the next episode. Explore further to learn Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 18’s release date, major spoilers, and preview stills.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 15 Recap
Megumi informed Shigemo that Mahoraga, the strongest Shikigami, has not been vanquished by any Ten Shadows sorcerer in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Episode 17, “Thunderclap, Part 2.” In an exorcism ritual involving Shigemo, Megumi calls forth Mahoraga; as a result, the ritual is deemed invalid.
In a flashback, Satoru tells Megumi about how a Zen’in family head with the Ten Shadows and a Gojo family head with Six Eyes and Limitless battled, ending in their deaths. He hinted that Megumi would eventually gain enough strength to kill Gojo, but the boy understood that this would only be possible with Mahoraga’s help.
Mahoraga murders Megumi in the present after calling her, leaving her in a state of suspended death. Sukuna recognizes that Megumi is in danger and rushes to his aid, soon realizing that Mahoraga’s strength lies in his capacity to counter any attack. Sukuna exorcizes Mahoraga by unleashing a Domain that ends just before Megumi’s location.
It will all be known as the Shibuya Incident in the future. Yuji, appalled by the events, is given back control by Sukuna after Mahoraga is vanquished and Megumi is brought to Shoko. A post-credit scene shows a half-burned-out Kento Nanami wandering aimlessly.
